XX International economic forum started in Saint-Petersburg
The delegation of Krasnodar region headed by the Governor Veniamin Kondratyev, takes part in the event.
The representatives from all regions of RF and 63 countries around 10 thousand people in total take part in XX International Economic Forum. About a hundred of events will take place within the framework of the forum: business forums of Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS, Energy Club Summit, Session of G20, conference on Arctic development, session of the international discussion club "Valdai".
Within the framework of the forum the measures to be actually taken by the federal government and constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the area of economy are discussed. The experience of other regions is very important: what practice they carry out, which vehicles they use. We align our activities in order to catch up in the competition on attracting investors and to stay at the leading edge in terms of promoting the economic growth, - commented the head of Krasnodar region.
Among the basic issues to be discussed by the business community together with the representatives of authorities of different levels in the course of the forum is the elaboration of the program for breakthrough development of the Russian economy, ensuring conditions for increasing gross domestic product (GDP) and enhancing life standards.
At the forum Krasnodar region represents a stand devoted to five industrial parks of the region. Besides, as noted by the Vice-Governor of Kuban Sergey Altukhov, the capabilities and conditions the region is willing to offer to investors are being discussed during the forum.
This means, primarily, innovations in the area of tax legislation as well as project administration we are willing to offer, - explained Deputy Head of Krasnodar region.
Within the framework of the business program of Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum-2016, the delegation of the region will conduct more than thirty business meetings with prospective investors and business partners of the region. In particular, the subject of negotiations will be the establishment of new merchandising chains, production lines in the area of bio-technologies and grain deep processing and in the area of informational technologies across the territory of the region.
